A Brown student has a laboratory-confirmed case of H1N1 influenza, the University announced in an e-mail to the community Wednesday, just days ahead of the 241st annual Commencement exercises.

Faunce overhaul headlines summer construction

Initial construction on the Stephen Robert '62 Campus Center in Faunce House is now underway, and the University also plans to break ground on a new Creative Arts Center and renovate Caswell and Slater Halls before classes begin in September. 'Internationalization' slowly gets defined

With three years down, one to go in her Brown education, Samira Thomas ’10 has a specific goal set for next year: a thesis on the redevelopment of post-conflict cities with an emphasis on Kabul, Afghanistan. But until this year, Thomas said she had few opportunities to pursue her concentration, Urban Studies, in any perspective other than a Western one.

Eight years ago, the University began a plan to increase the size of its faculty, build new facilities and strengthen the endowment, all funded by the largest capital campaign in Brown’s history.
